During the March 27 banquet at ASPLOS 2018, a Most Influential Paper award was presented for the ASPLOS 2000 paper “OceanStore: An Architecture for Global-Scale Persistent Storage” co-authored by David Bindel and Hakim Weatherspoon along with J. Kubiatowicz, Y. Chen, S. Czerwinski, P. Eaton, D. Geels, R. Gummadi, S. Rhea, W. Weimer, C. Wells, and B. Zhao. Hakim Weatherspoon attended the award presentation in person (along with John Kubiatowicz and Ben Zhao).
