Undergraduate students in their Freshman year are encouraged to apply to CSMore: The Rising Sophomore Summer Program in Computer Science. The program will run during the summer of 2021—in person—on the Ithaca campus from June 7th through July 2nd. Please note: these plans may require early arrival in Ithaca to accommodate quarantine regulations in accordance with New York State travel rules.
The primary goal of the Rising Sophomore Summer Program is to increase computer science (CS) preparation and exposure to research for participants, especially underrepresented minorities and/or first generation college students, supporting the computer science department’s commitment to access, equity, and inclusion and to enhance the diversity of Cornell's undergraduate student population. Invitation to participate in the workshop will be available on a competitive basis to students who are:
- Cornell Freshmen intending to major in computer science
- Priority will be given to students who are taking (or have taken) CS 2110 and have not taken CS 2800
