Uploading Images to the Internet Using Flickr
In order to use images and screenshots in Active Worlds, they will need to be online.
If you plan to be using Active Worlds and will be needing to upload a lot of images, you should consult with your local IT department to implement a permanent solution where you can upload images to your own web space.
However, for small-scale projects when this is not practical, this guide will assist you in using one of the many free photo-sharing services, Flickr. Steps 1-6 show how to sign up for an account while the following steps outline uploading and linking to images.
1. Head to Flickr.com and start creating your account.
2. Click to Sign up for a Yahoo account.
3. Enter the Necessary Information.
4. Confirm and Continue.
5. Finish Flickr Registration
6. Upload a Picture or Come Back Later
7. Click to Sign In.
8. Enter Your ID and Password.
9. Select "Upload Photos".
10. Choose Your Files and Upload.
11. Annotate and Save.
12. Select Your Image.
13. Copy the URL.
