The Kendall S. Carpenter Memorial Advising Awards recognize "sustained and distinguished contributions of professorial faculty and senior lecturers to undergraduate advising." The awards were established by trustee Stephen Ashley '62, M.B.A. '64, to honor his advisor, the late Professor Kendall S. Carpenter, who taught business management from 1954 to 1967. The awards are given each year to four faculty from across the campus, rewarding each recipient with $5,000.
Daisy Fan is one of four recipients this year for her significant contributions to undergraduate advising and excellence in serving as a guide to her students.
