Please look at the CS100J newsgroup often in the next week, as people
start working on the first assignment and have questions. Feel free to
ask and answer questions, but of course you are not
supposed to post Java code for the assignment on the newsgroup.
Below, we give information on getting on to the newsgroup.

- Click Tools.. Accounts..
- Click the News tab
- Click the Add button on the right
- Click on News..
- Enter your name
- Next Enter your email address
- Next Enter newsstand.cit.cornell.edu as the news server
- Check the box which says My news server requires me to log on
- enter your id and password
- Click on Finish
- newsstand.cit.cornell.edu will appear on the left window pane of outlook.
You receive a dialog box asking you to download newsgroups. Click Yes.
