There are many steps required to build and deploy a system with a significant machine learning or data mining component. I am interested in how much time is spent per step in developing real systems and the community's opinion of the importance of the various steps.
As part of my dissertation I am conducting a short survey (5--10 minutes) of the community's experience with developing real systems. The survey can be found at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/39YCVRX . I would be grateful to anyone who can spare a few minutes to take the survey.
Thank you for your time, and I look forward to reading your survey responses. I will tabulate and post survey results on this web page on March 6. Only aggregated statistics will be published.
Sincerely,
Art Munson
