Lectures and Recitations

You are expected to attend all lectures. To improve on the effectivness of the lectures, please follow these guidlines:

• Arrive on time.
• Do not walk in front of, or behind, the instructor at any time.
• Turn off all cell phones, beepers, pagers, and any other device that will interrupt the lecture.
• If you use a portable computer, such as a laptop or PDA, turn the volume off.
• Do not read the newspaper during lecture.
• Please raise your hand to ask a question, though if you're being missed, please call out politely. Generally, we prefer class participation, so please feel free to raise your hand to contribute to the class discussion.

Please register for ONE recitation, which meets once a week --choose from the alternatives provided in the table below. You are expected to attend every recitation.
