Technical Challenges

Several problematic issues fall within the scope of this project:

• Inconsistent formatting of U.S. Code.
• Varying cross-reference identifiers.
• Sheer size of the data set (~250 megabytes).
• Accuracy of translation.

In order to create a useful set of XML source files, all of these hurdles must be overcome.
