The design outlined in this document is not only feasible today, but can open up doors and shatter the passive nature of the living room once and for all. I expect the idea to be initially rejected by the major networks as they might view this as a threat to their prominence. However, the network that embraces this technology first gets access to an immediate research & development think-tank for new television shows and cultural shifts.

Consumers would be put back into the driver’s seat by not only creating the content they watch, but also by creating the demand and desire for products used in these shows. They won't be told what to buy or what clothes to wear when they are the ones controlling the broadcast. They will finally be made active and empowered because the technology in this device is simple, intuitive and captivating. Just like the pen, it provides a blank canvas that is just waiting for the next great artist to fill.
