• string identifiers
• sub-types of each node: For a node with a given label, which sub-terms are 32-bit integers, which are node references and which are string identifiers?

Two different scopes of registry information

• Global scope information is shared by all MathBus implementations and is stored in a well known standard startup file
• Local scope information is particular to an address space
