The Computational Biology Service Unit
I am the proud academic director of the Computational Biology Service Unit (currently located at the Cornell Theory Center). The unit provides research collaboration and computational services (on site, remote computing, and web computing) to investigators in the life sciences that requires bioinformatics and modeling tools. The unit is funded by the tri-institutional grant for computational biology and medicine (a collaboration between Cornell University, Cornell-Weill Medical college, Rockefeller University, and Sloan Kettering Cancer Research Center). The unit also provides help to computational scientists, creating user interfaces for novel algorithms and codes developed here in Cornell. The Unit is doing great, and their web site is highly recommended.
