HOW TO USE CORONA

Using Corona is easy:
- Start up your IM client. (As of November 2005, Corona supports YIM, AIM and MSN.)
- Add "cornellcorona" as a buddy. Corona will ok this addition and add you right back to its own buddy list. (If you're using MSN Messenger or Windows Messenger, you may have to add the full email address "cornellcorona@hotmail.com" to your contact list instead.)
- Send an IM message to Corona of the form "subscribe URL", where URL is the URL of a website with an RSS feed. You can always send a message of the form "unsubscribe URL" to stop getting updates from a feed, "list" to see which feeds you
are currently subscribed to, or "help" for a list of commands Corona
understands.
That's it. Corona will IM you every time there are updates to the
feeds you subscribed to. If you are unsure of which feeds to monitor, try the
highly popular BBC or CNN feeds:
subscribe http://news.bbc.co.uk BBC
subscribe http://www.cnn.com CNN
Keep in mind that Corona is still in beta testing. We do our best
to keep the system running 24x7. But there may still be occasional
outages as we upgrade the software.
You may want to change your IM notification settings so Corona updates are not
disruptive throughout the day, especially if you monitor lots of feeds.
And do keep in mind that Corona is highly addictive.
