Research Statement

My research goal is to make digital video an integral part of everyday computing experience.  The format complexity of digital video, and the amount of data they generate often push current processors and network bandwidths beyond their limits.  My research focuses on overcoming these challenges by building systems that allow high-performance video processing and efficient video transmission over the network.
