Policies on Email and Newsgroup Usage

Email
  1. If a question applies only to you (e.g., a grade), use email instead of the newsgroup.
  2. You may email the course staff or any member individually at your discretion.
  3. Please include "CS99" in the subject line of any email.
  4. Don't prefer email over the newsgroup just because you think you have a "stupid" question.
  5. Please try to refrain from emailing code; far better to bring it to office hours. If you feel you must email code, please make sure it follows all the usual rules of style, and place it in the text of the message, not as an attachment.
Newsgroup
  1. Do not post code that is in any way part of your solution to a lab. This violates academic integrity. Feel free to post any other code, whether it's from lecture, a book, etc.
  2. Post as often as you want. This is the best forum for questions outside of class.
  3. Feel free to answer others' questions, or piggyback on them.
