Project Summary

Bethe House on West Campus requires an online sign up/program calendar system for its many in-house programs. The system should automatically handle a waitlist and notify folks as there is space for them to join. The client would like the flexibility to have the identity and number of people who sign up be public or private.

The client cares a great deal about a slick user interface that allows for a nice visual impact, with the option to use the Bethe House event poster images, so that there is a cohesive feel between the physical paper advertising and the online space. Here is an example of a weekly events poster to give you a sense of the nature of the events. Each event also has an individual poster created for it.

A possible user interaction might be to log in, scroll through the poster images for the upcoming events, and then click on a poster to sign up for the event. The system should use Cornell's NetID for login.

Desirable options include linking out to Facebook event advertising and connections with the Google programming calendar.
