Project Suggestion:
Cornell's Sesquicentennial Celebration
(Preliminary Information)
|
Cornell's Sesquicentennial Celebration Client Evan Fay Earle '02 Project The client has provided the following preliminary information, "As a part of the sesquicentennial celebrations Alumni Affairs and the Division of Rare and Manuscript Collections are looking to implement a photo viewing, sharing and uploading website to capture images of student life at Cornell. Regional events will be taking place where older alumni will be given assistance scanning images and then these images will be uploaded. More recent alums with digital files will have a method for uploading them to the site via a web interface. The site would then incorporate some sort of tagging interface that would allow the uploaded or other alumni to tag and identify the people in the photos or the event or building etc. "Dartmouth has something along these lines, but more rudimentary thn what we were thinking and lacking the display interface: http://metadatagames.dartmouth.edu/alum/www/index.php/games/ZenTag/ "We would be looking for something creative and easy to use with a backend that would have capabilities to easily export the data and images for archiving or placing into other sites, such as Flickr, if needed. Batch import functionality may also be considered". |
