For each project component, indicate the target dates you expect to be finished with high-level design, low-level design, code written, and code tested. This must be handed in with your project description on September 19. (Hint: In real projects, the coding time is often the smallest amount of time.)
Every couple of weeks or so, you should fill in the “percent completed” column. If you have not completed a target by the target date, you should add a second date indicating when you expect to complete it (but don’t delete or change the original target date). This second date will indicate that slippage has occurred.
Whether you keep up with this yourselves, you must in any event fill out the “percent competed” columns when you turn in your status reports on 10/13 and 11/10.
Following is an example of the initial (Sept. 19) timeline. (Note that these dates are just off the top of my head…they may be completely bogus.)
