CS 414/415 Announcements
- May 15: Before you come to demo, please modify your proj5 to output this
debug information for each routing packet: <*****GRADING*****, src addr,
dest addr, last hop, type>. Or something else that can confirm us that
the routing is working.
- May 15: DEMO PLACE is UGLAB. Bring your Jornada if you haven't done so. Show up at least 1/2 hour before your time slot.
- May 14: Final exam in Ives 305 from 12:00 to 2:30. PLEASE BRING YOUR JORNADA TO THE FINAL EXAM.
- May 13: The final will be cumulative, covering
everything from the first day through the last. Here is
last year's final,
it'll be similar in scope and format. All sample homework
solutions are online as well, though the final exam will be
less expository than homeworks and focus more on analysis.
- May 13: Project 6 due at 1 pm.
If you are looking for more of a challenge, you can pick one of
the projects from this list with the course staff's permission. Be sure to notify us
of your choice by 5pm on Friday April 26.
- May 12: Some problems were fixed in disc.c.

- May 10: Schedule for the demo sessions posted. Please check that you got the desired time slot.
- May 9: Grading for Projects 5 and 6 will be based on a 20 minute demo. The time slots available are: Sunday 2pm-6pm, Wenesday 9am-12pm and 1pm-6pm,
Thurday 2pm-6pm. Please send an email to dobra@cs.cornell.edu with your preferences.
- May 9: Small bug in disk.c corrected. Please refetch it.
- May 6: Files minifile.h
and minifile.c have been added and disk.c has been
slightly changed. Please (re)download them.
- May 4: There are some minor changes to
shell.c to make it
conform to minifile.h. Please refetch it.
- May 3: Slope day: egs is your

has been updated to deal with hostnames that start with a digit.

- Apr 20: Download the fixed interrupts.c file. The old one had a bug in function clock_poll that
prevented Jornadas to get clock interrupts.
- Apr 20: The old network.c doesn't work if no DNS server reachable.
Download the new one.

- Apr 19: If you have difficulty downloading the Jornada software
(Embedded Visual Tools, Handheld PC SDK), you can borrow CDs from
Prof. Sirer in 4119A Upson. Note that the CSUG lab already has this
software installed.
- Apr 16: The old network.c reports the wrong local address. Download the modified network.c file or the whole Project 5.
- Apr 9: Project 5 due on April 22.
- Apr 8: Project 4 due at midnight.
- Apr 5: Homework 7 due at 1pm. Read Chapters 11 and 12 (skip section 12.7). Answer questions 12.1 through 12.11 and 12.13.
