The final exam is cummulative, covering material from
the entire semester.
It will take place in Olin Hall, rooms 155 and 255, on Monday, Dec
11, 12noon to 2:30pm.
The format of the exam is going to be a mixture of Prelim 1 and Prelim 2.
there will be some multiple choice questions and some regular "essay"
type questions. You should be ready to answer any questions about
material that was covered in the first and second exams, namely,
chapters 1-13, and 15,
except sections 1.6-1.7, 3.6, 3.8, 4.6,
5.6.2-5.6.4, 6.8-6.9, 7.5-7.8, 9.9, 10.5, 11.3, 11.4, 11.6
