Comments after Problem Set 1
Submitting the Problem Set
- Do NOT include attachment files with your code
- Do NOT include the code we provide you for the problem set
- Use PLAIN Text to submit your problem set code
- You must comment out the output and any notes (there's a function for this in
DrSwindle)
Working on Style
- READ the style guide that was posted on the web ages ago
- Do NOT put lengthy comments inside a function (i.e. keep them short, really short)
- PLEASE indent - it makes your code more readable
- Do NOT put in comments that state the obvious
- Try and emulate the style of the code in the problem set code we provide
Writing Code
- ONLY write functions we ask you to write
- Do NOT use scheme commands that haven't been covered in class (We're taking points
off for this!!)
- Do NOT put in useless code like (+ length 0) or (turn 0) or (if e #t #f)
where e is an expression
Other Stuff
- Read the Newsgroup. Often we'll post corrections or clarifications to the problem
sets there.
