I am presently in my final year as a Ph.D. student in Computer Science at Cornell University.
Prior to coming to Cornell in the Fall of 1997 I was an undergraduate at SUNY Buffalo. There I was a member of the school's Honors Program and double majored in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics. I had an amazing four years there that I wouldn't trade for anything. I served two terms (1995-1997) as president of the university's undergraduate math club and spent many, many hours tutoring math in the school's EOP "Math Place". In 1996 I was inducted into the Omicron Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa and in 1997 I graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. and honors in both majors.
I am also a 1993 Graduate of Shenendehowa High School in Clifton Park, New York. At Shen I was a member of the Math Team and the High School Speech and Debate Team. My specialty was extemporaneous speaking and I twice (1992, 1993) qualified for the New York State Championship Tournament (which we hosted) in that event.
Here is an aerial view of what the school system looked like not long after I left - the High School is on left, the two Junior High Schools (Koda and Gowana) are in the middle and five of the 8 elementary schools are on the right. I attended Orenda, Koda, and the High School respectively.
Before my family moved to Clifton Park in 1985, we resided in Cohoes, NY (6 Bayberry Lane to be exact). That is where I spent my early "formative" years and attended K-4 at St. Marie's Catholic School.
