Classtime in this course is a mixture of lectures, presentation, and critique. You should always look at the schedule ahead of time so that you are prepared for class.
Lectures
This class includes a wide variety of lectures intended to help you make the best game that you can. Some lectures focus on the technical aspects of game development, while some are more design oriented. Lectures in this course are not recorded.
Labs
Labs are hands on actiivites to help you make progress throughout the course. They are broken up into game labs (which give you a head-start on the development process) and ENGRC labs (which help you with design and documentation).
Reading
There is a textbook for this course. While we will never test you on this textbook, we will assume that you are reading it. This page introduces the course textbook as well as several other valuable online resources.
Code Samples
There is a lot to learn about the game engine that we will be using for this course. Many students find that they learn best, not by reading the API, but by looking at sample code. Here we gather some of the more useful samples that we have created over the years.
